my labby i finally home. i miss it so so so much. my precious baby had a brainwash and now has no recognition of me. all my documents. pics. and music are gone. HEART PAIN sia.
tues. visited FHA 2006 at Singapore Expo. it was extremely BIG! 6 halls totally utilised. there was a splendid spread of food samples from food and food related industries; all had travelled far from austria, australia, korea, japan, germany, italy, spain etc to gather for this food trade fair. there were lots of catalogues, brochures, and write ups to collect, which was really cool. i got stuff to read. yipee!
drank shandy, and this new alcoholic drink called sucker. the shandy had 7% alcohol compared to jolly shandy, the latter pales in comparison. lemon and grapefruit juices were added to the alcohol. i liked the grapefruit one better. the sucker drink was really nice. its new to the market, a really cool concept. made from irish cream and butterscotch schnapps, its alcohol content is 15%. ITS A MUST TRY! if they appear on the shelves of the local supermarkets, GO GRAB IT. loads of wine, but could not drink so much because i took medication earlier. oh wells.
then there's chocolate, yummy pastry. the tiramisu cake from bakels is so heavenly. haha. alot of finger food. snacks. and i love the chewy candy, grape flavour again from yamakawa tradings. and i saw a blue marron. its an aussie seafood. we thought it was lobsters at first. felt so mountain tortoise then. hehs. sucha waste i did not bring my digital camera. becos i vauguely remembered that cameras were not allowed, i was right. but i saw loads of people snapping away anyway. and there was GELATO from Gelmax Pte Ltd. definitely my favourite, i got a weakness for icecream and its relatives.
i was at FHA 2004 two years back. then, i was there as a trade visitor. Now, i'm there as a student. the irony of it. i would have enjoyed the whole journey of drifting from one booth to another better, although i was always contented with wadeva food samples i was offered, if my feet were'nt killin' me. they were aching like mad since i was in the pair of strappy killer heels sandals. towards the end, i almost wanted to just go barefooted. i was stumbling home and even had to rest at a void deck before continuing.
other than that, my company could not have been better. hwee ying and my dearest wu gui brother were fun fun. lina, gary and desmond, talking about which, i totally did not recognise him until i took a second glance. hehs.
did i mention that it is SGD 80 for a trade visitor pass for a day. and its open to the public on friday. so yeah, its really worth it. if you love food and have a passionate interest in the food industry, do drop by.
