after reading the news article regarding the sentiments of the foreign workers in Singapore, i gotta admit i feel kinda ashamed of myself. how i kinda judge them just because they are not singaporeans, it reminded me of the 40day fast prayers that i made. words that are not translated into actions are useless. compassion, grace. compassion.

i felt especially sad after reading the article about how singaporeans responded to the suggestion of building the quarters in serangoon. Dont the foreign workers deserve fair treatment too? They have contributed much to the Singapore that we live in. The buildings, roads, facilities, maintenance work... we wont be able to enjoy these things without them toiling under the sun. And it touches me to read about how some workers are so contented with the jobs and opportunities that Singapore has given them. even though they have been slighted, they are gracious enough to praise us.

give our friends from neighbouring countries a chance and appreciate what they have done for our country. this starts from you and me. :)
